Bloubergstrand stands on the west coast just north of the suburb of Milnerton. It is a popular resort area with a good supply of guest houses and bed & breakfast accommodation. Blouberg (or Blue Mountain) has some history in that a battle was fought on the 8th January 1806 which the british saw off a small force of defenders. Two days later the Cape passed into the hands of the british for the second and final time.
